comments: this bookshelf came out of the challenge to create a bookshelf that didn't need bookends to hold up the books. cohen used the folded steel material as a nod to simple metal bookends. he created a system that is completely modular and can be put together without tools. the angle of the shelves eliminates the need for the bookends. so simple, so thoughtful, so beautiful.
