comments: tim uses blocks of plywood and hollows them out to create a line of vessels called, flatware. he also uses the piece of the block that he hollowed out to make additional vessels. they are beautiful and elegant and i just couldn't resist posting about them.
bench in bits by ditte hammerstrom
item: bench in bits
material: solid plank of oak with gold leaf
designed by: ditte hammerstrom, denmark
photos via: ditte hammerstrom
comments: this bench is made with one large plank of oak and then the gold leaf is applied in one continuous pattern. the bench is then cut unto five pieces and can be configured any way and also put back together as one long bench with the gold leaf pattern lined up as originally placed. beautiful.
